Meet Pastor Jones

Bishop L.O. Jones, founder of Greater Grace Church, entered the ministry in 1975 as a youth pastor and children’s church pastor.

He was ordained in 1980 by the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World after receiving his training at the Reheboth Bible Institute. He went on to serve as assistant pastor at the Lively Stone Church in St. Louis before being commissioned to start a new church in north St. Louis.

With just two members, he founded Greater Grace Church on July 22, 1984 , renting space from the Windsor United Methodist Church in St. Louis . Greater Grace built its new church in Moline Acres in 1990, and expanded that church again in 1994. As the church continued to grow, Bishop Jones, his family and the people of Greater Grace moved into the new 36,000 square foot church at 3690 Pershall Road in North St. Louis County .
